I have 85k on the clock now and i know on most cars you should get a timing belt done around 90k miles. My question is when should i have my timing belt replaced? And are our engines interference or not? thanks guys
hey i ran across a sight that had kevlar timing belts for like 179. http://www.kastleskorner.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=1211
sweet thanks guys......do you know when the timing belt needs to be replaced? Would it be possible to do this at the install day?
man i dont have that many miles on mine so i don t really know when it needs to be replaced. im not sure if i would do this project diy. personally i would have it installed.
My water pump started leaking @ 30k but the dealer said they would have to keep the car for three days so I did the pump and t-belt myself. I believe the pump and belt were about $250 together, from Troncolli. The intake valves can hit the exhaust valves as well as the pistons and I believe the interval is 60K.
