Hey guys, need some guidance. I need to replace the LCA bushing where the A-Arm is at. It's a metal bushing and it's pretty much seized in there. Do you guys have any tips on removing that? I've tried burning the rubber, but that is literately taking forever and really don't know if that is going to work. I took it to two shops and they wont do it. I'll seriously pay someone who can take it off for me. I can't find a shop that will do it for me. the only other option is to press it out.

Just for illustration but....the bushing parallel to the lower ball joint.

you need to sheer the damper bushing of the arm
see if you have a large socket a hair smaller than the housing and use a hydraulic press and work it slow. After that you need to clean it with a scraper blade and get the adhesive out

I'm gonna take it down to b_reel tomorrow and see what we can do about it. The only reason I need it out is 1. There are cracks in them and 2. I'm using a GD turbo crossmember and don't want to shim my bushings to make it fit the crossmember so I'm gonna replace them with GD bushings to make it line up perfectly.

Well kerosene, a torch, and a die grinder took care of that reel quick

Press. If you don't have one or access to one I personally think you should not be trying to do bushings until you get access to one.

You could grind it out and burn it out but that is a lot of messy work.

For the time an effort it would take get the press setup I was putting bushings in. MAPP (yellow tank) gas is key, propane just doesn't get hot enough.
