Does anyone know where you can get tires shaved around Atlanta. I'm about to get a tire replaced, and I'm certain the other tires have had more than 2/32 of wear (Suby's spec for the maximum difference in tire wear) in the last 6000 miles.

    Thanks!

hmph.. I'll check. I figured it's have to be someplace selling tires to racers or something.

i don't know about discount tire. They refused to flip my victoracers for me, it took two phone calls from brian to get them to do it. Then when i came back they started agruing with me about it again. They claim to have alot of customers that do autox but i don't believe them. worst servie ever! Go to grand turismo.

yep... but I'm getting the new one at SoG... maybe I can pick it up there, take it to be shaved, then bring it back and get it mounted.

I gran turismo and they're closed today (cant blam them). THen I called discount tire in Lawrenceville, he recommended mounting the tire on another car w/17" (non-awd) rims and burning 2/32 - 3/32 off.

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I would not deal with Discount Tire if that is how they are. I guess they don't know that you have an STI that has a fairly uncommon offset that won't fit on most cars. Wait till tomorrow and call GT again.

Point turned out to be moot. After 6k miles, none of the tires have more than 2/32 wear. I guess it's time to take my skirt off! (no offense ladies)
