I am looking for new tires for my Leggera's. 235/40-18s. Wanted suggestions which would be best tires for around 550$ set. (Kumho SPT @ 105$ on tirerack). Any recommendation on any particular store or site?

do you want summer or all season???

If it's summer tires, Go with
Falken FK451 : AWESOME wet traction + GOOD dry traction + 15~18k miles <<-- My choice
Falken RT615 : AWESOME dry traction + decent wet traction + 12~15k miles

If you want all season, go with
Pirelli Pzero Nero M+S: GOOD at everything

You can't go wrong with any of those three. Also I ended up buying my tires at Discount tires. Yes it is more expensive (i paid about $60~70 more) compare to buy from online store, but I get free rotation/balance and road-hazard warranty.

Check out Tirerack.com. They have really good reviews. Pay attention to Road Noise. That is the most annoying thing about some of these tires. Nothinh worse than a set of tires that are louder than your exhaust when driving on the Highway.

Fusion makes pretty much every size I think. Plus they aren't terribly expensive if I remember right. They grip like a mofo but they are really noisy. :coolugh:

    Just a few random facts...

That why I like falken Azenis NO ROAD NOISE! They have what is called quite ride technology on those tires plus they grip great and look real aggressive, I have them and am very happy with them tread wear is like 300.Can get them for around $97-$105 a piece at Discount tire direct.

Yeah but that usually means a nice stiff ol' sidewall doesnt it?

    V710s!

I have nothing but bad experiences with discount tire, keep in my mind you always get what your pay for. Personally I rather pay an extra $30 to $60 and go to Gran Turismo and have piece of mind. Last time I was at GT there was a white 350z there that had a stripped stud thanks to discount tire.

For me personally I LOVE the tires that came on my STi. (Potenzas) I've herad from a few other people that there are better tires than these for the money. Does anyone know of any that are comperable to my stock tires or better that have a nice agressive treadwear as well?

I'm on Toyo Proxes 4. Definitely a good all-season tire for the money. I've also heard good things about Yokohama AVS, a summer tire that won't break the bank.

When my RE-070s are done, I'm going to mount some Fuzions I got as a gift to serve as my daily drivers. For as cheap as they are, I don't expect a lot, but I'll let you know. They got pretty decent ratings from Tirerack, but not a lot of people are using them.

For auto-x, I'm looking to basically copy Mere and get some slipstreams with some 710s.

i recently bought kumo spt from discount tire and i paid $396 for a set of 225/45/17. That was in mounted though, i had a buddy of mine mount them for me. Discount tire will price match any price as long as you bring them paper to back it up..

I like the khumo asx also, some Kauffman tires will work with you on the price if you mention tirerack's price.
they last longer than the Pirelli's pzero m&s and are only slightly outperformed by them. check tirerack's all season tire tests.
