We started work on this customers 2011 STI today. Although we have some modifications in the works for the car we wanted to get a baseline and protune numbers for you guys. While the engine and ECU are exactly the same as the 08-10s the one difference we did see was that the downpipe seems to flow just a little better than the previous years. The car stayed happier longer when we leaned on the STG1 tune. The car looks great, we are excited to dig into her a little in the near future! Here are some pictures and the DynoJet SAE results. AVCS on the intake and exhaust valves helps with that. I really would like to have Doug tune my car. I am just always broke or have other things to spend the money on when I have money to spend.
The size of it threw me for a curve.... but luckly it opened by pushing the same button as my 08sti... whew... talk about a stressful moment.
I saw a 2011 sedan in person tonight. I want! I would be highly tempted to trade my 08 hatch for one if the numbers came out just right. I would have to figure out how to get a AP and a Doug TS protune for it though.
Well, it has been a few days now and I am more impressed then the first time around. Doug tuned by 2006 WRX almost 4 years ago without any problems. I was hoping the tune on my STi would be as good as my old WRX but it is MUCH better! The power band is very smooth. The vehicle had 300 miles on it when it was tuned and normally I would not trust anyone to mess with it. I am very happy and never thought I would get this much power from a tune. Grant P.S. Grant, Thanks for the kind words man....Doug is a true pro when it comes to tuning...he literally impresses me on a daily basis. I am very glad you are happy with the tune, can't wait to get it done with the DP installed next week. Enjoy the ICE ~Cicio
