This thread will continue with the interesting things that people bring here, but it will start with this:
" Confused results of clutch&fly Install I just got done installing my clutch and flywheel for my evo and I don't understand what else I need to do to make it run. Me and my brother assume its a weak battery but the battery is reading ok(blue on the battery meter) and my brother also tested it at 11volts. When I try to start it at first, it was trying to start but it wouldn't. Everytime I tried it, it the starting up the car got weaker and weaker and suddenly the power on the dash wouldn't glow anymore. Also, the clutch feel is dead; there is no resistance whatsoever. It goes up and down like it doesn't work. We don't think we've forgotten anything so far and everythings filled up and bolted down. If you have any advice, feel free to lend me some. Its been a long half and a year and I'd like to drive my car FINALLY! Thanks"
Damage looks bad! I am so glad to hear that you are okay. Is the car going to a bodyshop? I definitely recommend Artcraft if it isnt totaled. If it is totaled, are the headlights for sale?
Thanks Scott for posting that pic. Yes, that came out of my Legacy......I was wondering why my car would stutter past 6psi of boost
Not sure if the car is totaled or not. We will wait and see. The original shop that did the install has called their insurance company and is covering the damages. They were aware of the different fuel lines as they informed the owner they had to make one new hose after cutting it too short. However they claim a hose shop made the hose with new ends and it wasn't them. In any event we are happy they are taking care of this in a quick and professional manner.
LOL...It was a $200 mistake...It is fixed now thanks to Scott and Jason up at Topspeed. All is good and the car is running great now
I can see the Carfax commercial now: 2006 Subaru Impreza STI Recent fire damage... Retypes: 2006 Subaru Impreza STI This car is HOT!!!!!
