I'm getting close to 60k miles and I want to change my trans fluid and rear diff. I've got a 5mt in my WRX wagon. No problems with the tranny, I think it might even be better than some since I really don't have any sycro issues. I can dowshift to 1st even rolling a 10mph or better.

Anyhow I'm still an after EM short of stage II with a gutted up and catless TBE.

What tranny and rr diff. fluids do you guys reccomend?

    Thanks

If you have not had any problems so far I would continue using Subaru fluids. Just dont use synthetic on the tranny! Synthetic in the diff is ok though.

    im using amsoil rear diff
and still not decided for front /tranny yet - i have 4 qts of 75w-90 Valvoline and 1 qt of Pennzoil Syncromesh. I was planning to mix the both 3 qts of valv and remain syncromesh. I have in a clear glasscontainer a mix and have yet to check if the fluids blend

I recently swapped mine because I was having grinding issues from 3-4 and 4-5.
    The mix I tried was
    1 qt of valvoline 80w-90
    1 qt of GM syncromesh
    1 3/4 qt Castrol Hypoy C 80w-90
I have had great results. No grinding what so ever. Heck I even try to make it grind and it wont! :sx:

Wow, maybe it's not my sloppy shifting. I do sometime miss the 2nd to 3rd shift when I'm pushing it real hard:eek: Is there a fluid that'll prevent my botched shifts:naughty: That grind really hurts, just when I notice I haven't missed it in a long time it happens again:wtc:
