I am trying to get an idea of what the best tuner would be in Atlanta and how much it would run to tune a 04 wrx with a regular 16g setup. So if you guys know let me know please, thanks!!

We have been 159/hr for the last 6months. Nothing has changed, and we have no plans on raising our tuning prices in the future.

The average dyno rate is between $140-175 an hour NATION WIDE.

Usually anything under that price means you do your own tuning. Sometimes AFC tuning can be as cheap as $100/hour.

There was an interesting thread on HT about what shops were charging to do tunes. Some places were charging $140/hour JUST FOR THE DYNO, then $100-150/hour for the TUNER. SO some people are paying $250-300 an hour for tuning in other parts of the country!

Some guys were doing flat rates of $600. Doesnt matter how long it takes, fee wsa $600.

In some places where there isnt alot of traffic, you have to get what you can.

Luckily, we live in a state where there is plenty of business and keeps the dyno rates very reasonable.

    *steps of soapbox*

SoG was always $120/hour of tuning. The fastest Subaru tunes are 2.5 hours, so that would have been $300. They were really too low, and "they" (me, there) don't tune anymore. Batlground was $155/hour for AWD... We're $159.99/hour. Other shops in the Southeast are $180+/hour...

Don't be cheap and get yourself a quality tune for the excellent price of $159.99/hour by either Doug or Siegel at Topspeed!

I've always wondered.... how much more difficult would be to tune an automatic?
