I'm not swapping turbos...BUT, I was replacing my header and noticed a nice oily mess coming from the back of my engine, looks like from the oil inlet hose (I think). The nut that joins the hard line from the turbo (not the top one) to the rest on the hard line was moist and there was oil residue all over the palce. I pulled the turbo off and then removed the short hard line that connects to the turbo, using two 17mm wrenches, hoping that is all I need to replace. My first question, does this hard line look normal as in, not bent to hell and back? I've never had to bend it but want to make sure this is not the line that needs to be replaced. (PITA) My next question, how much does this cost and what is the part number? Thanks guys, I'm anxious to get the car back on the road..as is my wife!! hnoes:
I cant remember exactly if that line is bent or not. It doesnt look like it has any stress bends in it.
geez man.... your car's having all kinda problems as of late. I believe the last pic you're asking about is the oil inlet line. I **think** it's about $50 or so. No idea on the part #. Hopefully Will can help you on that one.
I got the hard line Sat and had to order the rubber return line, it was pierced as well. It should arrive on Thursday. I'll get it all back together on Sat if time permits.
