I must have still been pretty groggy on my way to work today and I curbed the crap out of one of my wheels. Anyone know of a good repair shop that's reasonably priced? And is it even worth it?
I'm still riding on '06 stockers and hadn't planned on upgrading any time soon, or ever really.
I knew that eventually they'd get beat up, but I feel like a real moron right now…

Curbed so badly it no longer holds air...or just looks gnarly?

Take a pic and post it up. If its still holding air, just leave it as is until you find another 06-07 stocker FS and swap it on.

It just looks gnarly. I guess I could start saving up and wait 'til I see a good deal on some others, since they do tend to show up around here pretty often.

Honestly I just feel stupid having done it at all. It's like I forgot how to park this morning.

Another thing you could do, is fill in the scrapes/gouges with filler, then paint all of the wheels a matching color

+1 on Metro Wheels. They did a good job on my wheels.

I'm not sure it's worth it. I curbed the crap out of my wheels and started looking around. Everything I got quoted at was around $150 a wheel. Add $50 to that and I could have just bought a brand new one. I ended up sanding it down a little, masking it off, and taking a black rattle can to it. If you weren't looking for it, you wouldn't even notice it.

Then again, I think it would be a little harder to do this to a silver wheel.

But yeah, you just want to see if you can find a new wheel. Being that they're stock, I imagine that it would be cheaper just to buy one.

That's kinda what I was afraid of. The wheel's a bit ugly now, but it doesn't really seem totally worth fixing.

I'm sure I can live with it until someone here is trying to unload some nicer wheels, and maybe I'll get some tires out of it, too.
