UPpipe Q: for 2005 2.0L

IS the UP for a 2002-03 WRX the same (will it fit?) as for an 05 ?
Looking at an aftermarket UP with no flex (friend giving it to me)

yes they are all the same 02-06 subaru has not changed that aspect of the car.

 

I thought Subaru dropped the uppipe pre-cat in the 2006 WRX with the switch to the 2.5L powerplant.

Anyone FYI:
I have a factory STI uppipe that's around here somewhere, and it's catless. I traded my WRX for an STI and I don't need it any more.

 

06 wrx has different UP set up. BUT 02-05 wrx, they all have the exact same set up as far as engine & exhaust goes. (** 05 wrx has different axleback**)

BTW, STi UP is catless, but i recommend Crucial Racing UP which has ceramic coating inside and out.

 

pipe is the same for all years just 02-05 has cat and 06 does not, pipes are the same shape and size.
