Got my EasyEcu for the non drive by wire cars (one of the first few in the US) yesterday and loaded my old 93 octane map. Holy ish if my car doesn't feel faster than it did before. Maybe the 1 1/2 months of no more than 10 psi boost has killed my feel for the car but I gotta say the 93 octane map sure feels a LOT faster. We'll know for sure when the new meth pump with the newly designed seals come in.

I love EasyEcu and it works great. Also nice to have DeltaDash now as well....much easier to read my logs now that it graphs it all.

It's basically a map switching tool for ecutek as far as I understand. Software with some features like road dyno + cable.

    How much did EasyEcu cost?

Milo I am not saying there is anything wrong with EasyECU....it works great. I am just saying that I don't understand why my car feels like it's faster than the meth map. Right now I am on my old 93 map SS had saved. The throttle response I'm getting is insane and I'll be damned if it isn't pulling harder up top. I was like WTF am I still on the meth map but I'm not!

$350. I had no choice as Enginuity wouldn't reconize the Ecutek maps and I didn't want to lose my tunes. Now I can get a C16 map once I get the PPG gears :fawk:

Is this because of the douchebag move by Ecutek to make the ECU un-reflashable by others, or some other reason?

probably just in your mind... i doubt the ej20 can make >350 whp on pump gas with siegel's tune

Probably because that map isn't as 'SMOOTH'. Siegel spent way more time tuning my meth map than he did my 93 as I instructed him. Also the 93 boost map hits more violently.

  10. I've heard about this....

Basically your allowing your car to "re-learn" again and thus, making it quicker. Not to mention its prob due to the cold weather and learning it in that condition.

    Not totally sure though

I kinda had that feeling as well...after I got tuned, it seemed as though it was slower, but in reality it was faster and smoother...the OTS map was very jerky and after my tune I mistook the smoothness for lack of power...

I also just realized that I fixed a huge issue which was the intake temp issues so the 93 map is most likely running even better and like it should. A lot of issues were fixed since I last ran the 93 map. I'm patiently waiting on SMC and my new seals on the pump now. Right now I am on a work trip in Wash. DC so I am hoping I will have something waiting on me when I get home Sunday night.

I agree. The deliver with his tune is prob considerably smoother. With the current one its just like BAM power, nada. His was nada, smooth, power, BAM.

Let me correct ya there. The meth map isn't nada, smooth, power, BAM.

It's more like nada, smooth, power, hold on, BAM JJJJDDDDMMMMM!
