So yesterday I was pulling into a friends apartment complex and there is a viper that is most always parked right outside it. This time they guy who drives it was standing by it when i pulled up. Apparently a few of my friends had been telling him he should race me LOL because when I pulled up he said "Hey, lets rum em!" hah. I had a couple of margaritas shortly before so i told him i might run em some time but not tonight... He kept saying that once he took off i wouldn't have any idea where he went LOL so i asked him if he really knew anything about STi's. He said he knew a little and asked for me to take him for a quick ride... I launched a couple times and ran through first and second. His response was something like "Holy crap, thats pretty impressive...". He was quite surprised. Then he took me for a ride in HIS car . He pulled around the apartments briefly, ripped through first and second. The torque was quite impressive. I love the sound too... Then he took it out on the street and showed me how easy it was to break the rear end loose even in third gear LOL. That thing was awesome. (aside from the fact that it is an american car) I didn't really feel like it pulled that much harder than mine but it did a little. It would be a fun race but if the stats are correct i would loose by a little... Anyone ever ran one from a dig?
was it an SRT-10? if so, i doubt u'd stand a chance against him as long as he could keep the tires from spinning... then again, i dont know much about vipers
You would hold with him fairly well until 3rd, then he would walk on you. I played with a Viper on 400 once. Sure I don't have an STI, but I have about as much power as a stock one, and he flat out destroyed me. Was still fun to try.
if its an rt/10 then yes you might have a chance(maybee), if its a gts, or srt-10 i would tihnk you would have the launch then after that he would take it from there. those things are monsters, and with just a little performance chip or dealer tuning you can get monsterous power from them.
I'd love to try, even though I know he'd walk me. I did get to have a little stoplight fun the other night with an STI and Evo 9.
Yeah thats about what would happen. I'm not sure which kind it is. After a gear or 3 he would walk on me. It is a v-10 8.3L engine . Thats quite a difference from my 2.5L. haha But as some of you said it would be fun to try .
