So lately, at WOT I notice my battery light and I think abs lights blinking indicating low voltage. My accessport and voltage meter on my turbo timer read about 14.5 under normal driving. I didn't check it under WOT but the car seems to be driving fine while these are flashing. Also I noticed tonight my headlights blinking like when you have the radio blasting and press up and down on the windows but I don't have a radio in the car and wasn't touching the switch. Any idea what could be causing this?
Alternator or voltage regulator (think they are internal on our cars) going bad? Bad ground? Lots of possibilities. That is one reason wiring sucks! I had an 89 mustang that started having issues with the headlights dimming, voltage drops and it all turned out to be the seat belt monitor circuit was going bad and was tied in with half the other electrical systems in the car. If you start getting worried, there is a great guy for that in Norcross...I believe it was Northeast Auto Diesel and Electric on Buford Hwy. That guy was the one that fixed my stang when even the ford dealer was at a loss.
