anyone have any experience with these? going to go look at a used one pretty soon for my daily driver (finally time to finish up the subaru and install my shortblock). Might be picking up a used elise in the future also, and I REALLY don't want to daily drive that thing around

5 cylinder turbo, wagon, ~230hp. heard they are like tanks

I knew 2 guys a couple years ago that swore by the things, they arent bad cars at all. However I dont know much about them. I rode in one of the R Wagons a couple years back, 450awhp is awesome no matter if the car weight 4,000 pounds or not.

My dad had one that ran forever as well.

Is that a 97? Had one...the cost to maintain is the only draw back. Definite tank.

Is it an auto? The tranny's was an issue. Alot of engine noise. The cruise control worked most of the time and I constantly had oil leaks, replaced oil pump a few times. I believe those were common issues with the 850, for most of the 4 years that body style was out.

Great ride for a daily driver, especially for the features it has for an older car.

yeah it's an auto. haven't seen a standard in the turbo wagon though

Check out http://turbobricks.com/ and possibly spend more money modding it too.

going to pick this up. liability is $15/month on it

snagged it for $2600. it's in great shape. pulled the carfax and there is not a single thing on it. just needs a new headliner and to rotate the tires.

    swedish tank with 220hp FTW

    hell yeah!!

Should be lots of fun. Be interesting to see what mods come about on it.

    bought this the other day.

it's fucking sweet! seats a lot, seats fold down, built in cargo nets, rumble/suicide seat that folds up in the back. gets good gas mileage, power everything, leater, sunroof, and it's in excellent shape for its age and how much I paid for it.

it's deceptively quick, uses a TD04 turbo. few mods will put it at 300hp at the crank.
need to check the plugs and fluids, rotate the tires and get an alignment. really good car for $2500 IMO.

no, it's my daily driver so I can turn the subaru into something I can kill myself in. plus I can haul shit in it and still be faster than 2pt5rs
