Wagon FSB - need help Does anyone have a OEM wagon FSB 04+ ? Can you please measure the end to end distance (outside to outside) thanks
im not sure about that I want to find out the difference between Wagon and Sedan I bought Hotchkis Swaybar set and according to Hotchkis the Fronts and Rear are the same and same part number for sedan and wagon. But Whiteline has Wagon specific so i hate to start upgrading the bar and find out that it does not fit
Wagons use a different front swaybar than sedans because the sedans have a wider front track. If you ever upgrade to sedan control arms and whatnot up front you'll be able to use a sedan FSB. I dont think there's any difference in front sway bars on WRX models of each year. Rear sway bars are teh same for all WRXs but not STIs. I want to say that you can get the sedan FSB to bolt up but that it might break the bar overtime. I remember reading something of the sorts a couple years ago on Nasioc.
If thats true than a few company FSB will be breaking because they use fthe same for wagon and sedan. the reason i asked is to see how much is the difference and maybe i can use an edlink that has spherical bearings to compensate
wagon front swaybary is shorter, so sedan front swaybar can strain front swaybar mounts and cause them to break or (warp?) not sure on second.
Twas true for 02/03 and then all newer WRXs got 17mm front and rear sway bars. Its a nice free upgrade for 02/03 wagons, I noticed a pretty good handling improvement with a sedan RSB. I know Perrin claims that their design works for both cars but I'd rather get one made specifically for a wagon.
