I read an article today that said the Koeniggsegg was powered by a Subaru/Motori Moderni 1235 Flat 12. here is a pic of the engine

i think they tried a bunch of different motors out for the car back when it was a prototype. I know its powered by a SC v8 now

A little more research, I guess Subaru was briefly involved in F1 and this motor was what they produced for F1.

"There's also a reminder of a time in the pre-Impreza days when the company became briefly involved in a quite different kind of international motorsport, with the splendid-looking flat-12 Subaru Motori Moderni Formula 1 engine supplied in 1990 to the cash-strapped Coloni team. The car had a dismal competition history, though, with Bertrand Gachot unable to qualify for four Grand Prix races in succession. That was the end of Subaru's F1 involvement."

I believe that Subaru is about to get back into F1 within the next year or 2. Amol would know more about it than me though, maybe he will post up.
