  1. I got rid of the PT cruiser that my wife was driving and got a 1997 GMC suburban. TURBO DIESEL!! yeah, baby - talk about torque...

We used to have a suburban before we got the PT cruiser.
    The story is as follows:

In 2001 we had our first child (daughter) together (she already had one daughter from a previous marriage). Lylly. Very cute. Anyway, we decided that we wanted to have alot of cuteness around and we wanted to keep them safe when travelling. At the time we were driving a ford escort as the family car.

Well, almost immediately after that conversation about a larger vehicle, we are driving the escort and come across an accident involving an escort, and a suburban. the escort was totally smashed, and the suburban had a bent in step rail and lower b pillar. The coice was obvious. We got a very nice 1995 suburban.

Well, after 3 years of trying for another child, we were told that we couldn't have any more kids. At that point my wife wanted something smaller, easier to drive around, and would fit 4 comfortably. The PT seemed to be perfect.

About 4 months after we got the cruiser we got a miracle pregnancy. perfect timing... So we had another child (daughter) in 2004. up until now, we have had to take two cars if we all wanted to go somewhere together... we finally found a nice suburban with a turbo diesel, 4x4, and fully loaded to boot!

    We have dubbed it: Behemoth

Man, this suburban is awesome. Power, room, comfort, everything anyone would want in a family vehicle. It even has a sharper turning radius than the cruiser did. :wiggle:

very nice!! hows the gas mileage ? :keke:

  3. 18-20 mpg. not bad, but diesel prices are still in the $2.60 range... that part really sucks.
I filled it up last night (42 gallon tank) with 34 gallons and paid a nice even $90.00... lol

lucky for me the wifey doesn't drive that much so it should last awhile.

paying $2.08 a gallon for the wagon. :naughty:
