I recently got new tires (Falken 451 again). After that my car shakes/vibrates noticably after 80mph. I rebalanced all four corners again, but it still shakes and vibrates as well. So I suspect bent axle??? My right rear tire blew out two weeks ago, so my car spinned out (the rim is fine). BUT i doubt that that'll cause any serious damage to my car.

Maybe out of alignment?? I feel like only front axle shakes because you can see the hood & scoop shake pretty vigorously. Hmm... Any thoughts??

Probably a wheel/tire issue man. Possibly a bent wheel or a tire out-of-round. Have whoever balanced your tires roadforce test them. That test will show any bent wheels or bad tires. If one of the tires is bad they will most likely replace it for free. If you didnt hit anything when you spun then i doubt you bent anything, but if you did it wouldn't have been an axle.

i bought these @ discount tire. The front right rim (the one that had blown tires) has NO visible bent and not even scratch (other than curb rashes). I set up an appointment tomorrow for road force balance. Hopefully I can get better results with it.

I doubt its the axel, I would invest in time to check the aligntment and tire balacing again.

You cant always see that a wheel is bent. Thats why you have to roadforce them.

I spun out on 75 and had all sorts of vibrations afterwards. who knows, but I think it was prob the alignment. My rear was out -3 camber and it was basically dragging the left rear when I went around sweeper curves. I still have some sort of noise up front but prob a wheel bearing or something. I just go with it...lol

I did road force balance last Friday. As expected, one of my wheel (front right) was out of balance for 35 lbs!! After remount the tire couple times, the tech managed to bring it down to 22 lbs. Not bad, but still.... My other three wheels were off by 12, 15, 17. Not bad for Rotas. The vibration and shakes are nearly gone, BUT my sensitive ass still feels imperfection.

If the tire is out of round, does the tire company replace it with warranty??? I'll see how it handles during my road trip.

MOD : Could you move this to "Wheel/Tire" forums??
