i think i found a set of wheels i'd like to get when i get back. these are 18" wheels and fit the 05 STi. there is a member here that has em too on his white STi and it looks sick! this with the carbon fiber TI catback would match perfectly!!! what do ya'll think? i got quoted $2,400 with tires shipped to my door in ATL. The tires are toyo T1-R's 245x50x18. Are these good tires?

yeah they look sweet...so the ones you want are a little different than jraw's? his are black w/polished and your going with the all polished look...my brains not working so good today...but if that is the case then YES!!! i think both looks fit their particular car colors.....i don't think the black/polished would look as good on WRB verses the white...

dunno what that is.lol sorry for the ignorance. Racing Hart is supposed to be some good shi# from what I've been told. hell this is by far cheaper than other vendors want for em'. some wanted over $500 a rim!

scott...yeah i'm going with the graphite w/polished lip...not the black. they also have it in bronze but i think the graphite would look cleaner.

that is smiliar to what's on mine. the graphite w/ polished tip looks badass on the wrb's!!

    forged: light and strong, poured.
cast: cheap, heavy, not so strong.
flowformed: like forged i think it's spun or moved when formed.

fire em an email and ask em. i think the harts are forged though (like ssr). not sure though. it's worth checking into.

for $2400, you could get some pretty go power gains instead

true that chris...already have plans for ecutek/tbe. now i have to decide first...drop it w/nice ass rims, or go fast mods. can't do em' both at once. i'm not ballin' like that either.

Nice wheels but unless you are a hardcore racer, it's a waste of money. Get some go fast goodies first. ;)

    my opinion

    1. go fast = tbe+ecutek
    2. handling = Swaybars
    3. Looks = Rims, etc

*only exception for me is the radio and after market speakers[puts on flame suit]

    "looks= rims"

oh, don't discount a good set of wheels, a set of 8x18 wheels will increase your cornering speed dramatically over stock. the only downside of wider wheels (for me at least) is tramlining, your wheels following the grooves and incosistencies of the pavement. you become painfully aware of just how shitful the pavement jobs are in many parts of the interstate and surface roads.

but like with all mods everything is give and take.

Yes, these are 2 piece, forged wheels and mine are also graphite with polished lip! The 2 piece CP-F Tune R comes in either bronze or graphite and the 1 piece CP-F Tune comes in Super Black Coating, like the ones that are on the Cusco STi.

Here is a link to the wheels
