what kind of sealant do i need?

    okay well first off have a 2007 sti..i just cleared out my headlights for the second time...and the silicone that holds the 2 part of the headlights is wearing out. what type of clear silicone do i get? hope i provided enough information. they had one for window and doors and one for bathroom tiles and bath tubs..

    alex should know this. I believe the OEM stuff is something 'made' by Nissan

    It's not clear silicon. It's Nissan butyl headlamp sealant which is this very gooey stick black tar like glue. I just bought a roll and sent Alex a sample that they found in the leftover bin at the back of the dealership.

    I believe they use the tacky shit that holds Speaker Grills together. You may be able to get the stuff at a Car Stereo place or at Home Depot.
