What makes a good set of brake rotors good?

I'm aware of DBA and Brembo rotors and that their well made, and that they
are pricey. I was looking for new rotors on nasioc, froogle, and eBay and there
are a lot of brake products to choose from.

Does anyone know what alloys, materials, designs, and manufacturing
processes make a good rotor good, and who may make and/or sell lower priced,
under-rated, but well made brake rotors?

I'm not looking for cross-drilled since I'm aware that there are cracking issues with many of these, but I'll probably go slotted,

Well I went with slotted DBA 4000 rotors and Hawk HPS pads via eBay which might be overkill.

nicad Yes I am a troll

alloy used and thermal heat dissipation. as far as this relates to manufacturer, I'd have to do some research. active brake cooling will go a long way even with cheaper hardware
