i have recently purchased a set of 18x8 rota tarmacIII s and i want tire size opinions (width vs. sidwall hieght), any help is much appreciated. bear in mind i'm on a budget so 255 is probably the widest in can afford and it'll probably still rub.

Your body style cannot take a 255. I would suggest a 235/40/18. 225 is just too small for that size wheel, and a 245 you may have to cut/roll your fenders depending on the manufacturer. A 235 is still grippy enough for some fun cornering, but not so wide that it makes the car real laggy when you want to do some shifter rowing.

I used vulcantires.com and just got a cheap all season, because I don't race on street tires anymore. So its up to you and your budget as far as treadware goes. 280 or less is summer and anything above that is normally all season. 280 should last you about 20k miles if you take care of them.

actually now after looking at a lot of wet and dry test data on tirerack.com , i think i may go with fuzion ZRi's , they matched the the g-force tit-for-tat in the dry and stompped a mudhole in them in the wet. tread wear 320 aa

Just an FYI... the Discount tire north of Mansell on Hwy. 9 will price match (even internet pricing)...
