Well, I will have a little bit of money within the next month to spend on my car and I cant make up my mind on what to spend it on. What do you all think my first mod should be??(price range is under $400)

STi Muffler. Can't go wrong, and I have one sitting in my apartment for sale. What are the odds. So, what do ya say?

If you don't want the STi Muffler, I would at least suggest Up/Dp, Engine Management, or a driving school.

Meh, there are really two mod track you can take, 1) get the most power/handling/whatever out of your car. Any mods that don't meet that aim will be "senseless" to some folks. 2) Have actual fun modding the car and do what makes you happy. For instance, BOV's, many will cry foul about BOV's, all they do for the WRX is sound cool! So? Whats wrong with that? I for one, like to autocross, so when I start to mod the car again, it will be in that direction first, but I still plan on a short shift kit and maybe the dreaded BOV at some point. If it were me, I would suggest a couple of sway bars, or an exhaust...

BOV's do more then add a "cool" sound. They do cause a slight rich condition

Best mod for me so far; Painted side skirts, No joke. I smile everytime I see them. They should have been stock

    that and swaybars

What brand sway bars do you guys sugest, I was looking at perrin front and rear adjustables. Also I was thinking about Helix UP and DP but I'm worried about emissions without any cats so figured i would get the DP with the high flow cat but that cost another $100. What do you guys think.

whiteline makes some good swaybars..same with perrin..whiteline might save you a little money though..as far as up pipes you can always gut your own and save yourself the money toward something else..but again uppipes are getting pretty inexpensive..

mike and i both have the helix catted DP and we love it... from what i hear, a cat will make u lose a max of 5 hp or so... plus catless stinks... so i decided to go catted... i believe the WRX can even pass the sniffer with one high flow cat

i have whiteline front and rear swaybars

what do u like to do with ur car for fun? do u like to go fast or turn fast?... i like turning fast so i spent money on suspension first... swaybars will eliminate a lot of that body roll and will give u a significant improvement in handling... up-pipe and down pipe will give u some more power but the big jump will come when u do engine management... but that requires some $$$
