What cds are you guys listening to in your cars right now? Here's what's in my car: 1) Leftover Salmon - Live @ Nita's Hideaway_disc 1 2) Leftover Salmon - Live @ Nita's Hideaway_disc 2 3) Jack Johnson - Curious George 4) Tea Leaf Green - Live @ Hollywood Bowl 5) Tea Leaf Green - Live @ Mystic Theatre_disc 1 6) Tea Leaf Green - Live @ Mystic Theatre_disc 2
Hmm, off the top of my head: 1) Al Di Meola - Kiss my Axe 2) Modern Jazz Quartet - The Complete Last Concert (disk 1) 3) Iron Maiden - Somewhere in Time 4) Miles Daves - Kind of Blue 5) CD-R with some Miles, some Natalie Merchant, Motorhead and David Bowie 6) Garbage - Bleed Like Me
1. Sparta and a little Mars Volta 2. Sonic Youth (Sonic Nurse) and a little AFI 3. Mindless Self Indulgence 4. Radio Head and some Postal Service 5. Any Given Moment (local band) 6. Half Life 2 Soundtrack with some 8-bit NES techno remixes (nerd alert)
I have Coheed and Cambria - Live at the Starlight Ballroom (i think thats the name) but hardly ever listen to CD's anymore since I hardwired my iPod in
My ipod...does anyone use CD players anymore? J/K'ing. My current favorites include Armor for Sleep, Hard fi, She Wants Revenge, Death Cab for Cutie, and the Fray...
hahaha... well i have a first gen 10gb iPod. :ugh: i have that thing filled to the brim with my favs. plus i've got 30+ live cds that i listen to as well, mostly various jam bands. so i keep 2 visor cd cases in my car + my iPod... i need (want) to upgrade to the 40gd iPod soon :sx: btw... i haven't been using my iPod as much in the car because of the cell phone syndrome. don't want to rearend anyone because i was scrolling for an album on my iPod.
Yeah, I ususally put mine on shuffle and just let it run. I hope to get a head unit that supports the Ipod soon, they are finally coming down in price to the $120-$130 level (but then you have to buy the $90 adapter....)
my HU goes thru the iPod like it would a 6-disk CD changer. i have 1-6 CD/Playlists named on my iPod. so, if i want all my songs to shuffle, i put it on the CD1 which is a playlist with all 20Gs. if i want to jam out to some fu manchu and kyuss, i play my stoner rock palylist, CD2; and so on. very cool way to do it. and my HU displays the track and artist's name. it even charges as i listen. i will never go back, NEVER!!! you can't make me.
another reason i want to get a new iPod, besides wanting to get an additional 30+ gigs of space... the first gen iPods do not have a dock, so i can't take advantage of all the cool stuff coming out now for the iPods.
1. CD-R JayZ/ Linkin Park and some Rage Against the Machine 2. 311 Greatest Hits 3. Hootie and the Blowfish "Looking for Lucky" 4. Jack Johnson "Brushfire Fairytales" 5. CD-R Coldplay's good stuff 6. Dane Cook "Retaliation - Disc 2" Kind of random I know, but honestly I don't drive my car all that much when in Atlanta, basically just on the weekends.
oh yeah, what i'm listening to: Roni Size-Return To V Mark Farina-Air Farina Brant Bjork-Jalamanta Tranquility Bass-Let The Freak Flag Fly Damian `Junior Gong` Marley-Mr. Marley Arctic Monkeys-Whatever People Say I Am Thats What I Am Not The Atomic Bitchwax-Spit Blood
whatever stuff i've dumped on the nano (the new BT stuff is good, thanks alex, gotta check out the sets when i get home) speaking of iPoop... if you've got one, you have GOT to get one of these fuckers: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2416,CONTENTID=10865 i picked it up a month or so ago. it ROCKS. and really, it will work with anything sporting a 3.5mm jack
im getting some waranty work done on the rx-8 so jim ellis put me in the shitiest car they could get form enterprise.
MP3 cds here until Apple gets done fixing my Ipod . . . Top listens right now are probably Leftover Crack and Indk on the punk front, Action Action for some 80s synth stuff, Teen Idols, Autopilot Off and the Methadones for pop-punk fun, and a bunch of random string quartet covers of modern rock bands A friend burned me a big trance cd with BT and stuff on it but I dont want to get into trouble and that CD tends to make 5 min car rides into 15 min interstate runs.

For all of you Ipod lovers and Alpine HU whores like myself: http://www.alpinefullspeed.com/ The new line of head units are completely Ipod ready and much faster than previous generations using the separate brain box. I'm very happy with my older Alpine HU with the Ipod attachment, sound quality is immensely clear on higher bitrate mp3s (the lowest I'll go normally is 192kb/s). The new line is trick and saves you from having to buy a $100 box in order to use your Ipod.
looking at what u guyz have I need to udate my music... this week was... T-pain pussycatdolls floetry mary j blige shakria (spanish) the fighting temptations soundtrack
Genya, where did you find that Dr. Octagon? I had that years ago and lost it, haven't been able to find it at stores....
yea the new ipod adapater is a bit different from the older ones....last years models used an ipod interface which was a bit slow and not nearly as easy to use. The new ones take a cable instead of a huge tuner box that cost 70% less than the older and it has a SUPER fast scroll to it. The new 9856 is a great cd player for it and it is like 200.00. I highly recommend it. We have been installing the new alpines iwth the speed cable at work like crazy. end threadjack
Hey Lost, If you don't have it allready, get the Beastie's-In sounds from way out... I've had it forever but just busted it back out...its Nuckin Futs!!!!
