Hey man, welcome to the site! Awesome looking car! We just had a meet Saturday in Alpharetta, over at Topspeed. Keep an eye out for a few more, this weekend some guys are going for a mountain run, and the weekend after we're going to Milo's apartment complex for an install day. Craig
ive heard alot about topspeed, i think there only about a mile from my apt, dang ill have to keep an eye out for the meets. <runs to seach site> oh and thanks for the complements
i bought it as is, but the real mods are to come, i wanted something with a good base point (i have already built other cars, mainly on the 4g63 platform) I am learning the box setup and am looking forward to the motor mods, i am thinking of going with a fp 18g setup. I want to set it up for roadatlanta/courses not drag. And a few things i want to get rid of on the car, i would like to ditch the sti fog light covers for the same ones without the sti on them, and also the carbon fiber turns on the side i would like to get without the sti logo, or trade someone
Well because topspeed is close to your house, I would talk to them about the setup you're looking into. You can also try Subaru of Gwinnett, both great places. BTW, if you want to save your money, just take of the foglight colors and tape off the painted areas and respray over the STi logo (that's how they put it on in the first place lol). Craig
yeah, i will be doing all the mods myself i enjoy working on cars and it helps to save the money hehe with someone, not sure who yet, doing the dyno tune, as far as the fog covers, yeah thats prob what ill end up doing, but i figure ill see if anyone WANTS the sti on there for there ride, mide as well help someone out huh?
i have never Drivin a 100% stock wrx so i guess i cant really compare, but it seems to pull on the stock turbo'd cars, and seems to be alittle lowder, if that makes sence, i dont have any intake mods and i can hear it spool with the windows up, some people say they cant hear there stockers :dunno final verdict, id have to drive a one stock to compare the two, but when i go to 18g ill let you compare
nice car dude... always happy to see someone doing power/suspension/looks at the same time... hope to see u at the mountain run next weekend
yes i deff need info on this mtn run (love the brakes for the mtn's!) glad to see alot of people posting on this site, deff have to meet up with you guys and have some wrench days oh, and my name is Matt by the way
heres the mountain run thread http://www.wrxatl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1634 also the nasioc crew is having a g2g tomorrow (tuesday)... heres the link http://www.wrxatl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1771 we try to keep all our events updated on the calendar and stuck in the g2g section
When it comes to the 18g you're going to want to get it tuned, I'm not sure if Cobb Accessport will do new turbo's? I love the idea of doing everything myself, glad to see you're going that. Just IMO I would look into getting Ecutek from either Topspeed or SoG. Craig
welcome, im actually the guy that sent you a PM on nasioc about the site :wavey:. glad you finally made it hear. i also bought my car around the same time you bought yours and i was considering the very car you have now, but i decided to go with a stocker.
ahh sweet, i tried to put you for recomended, but i didnt know your name on here and it wasnt the same as on nasioc, but thanks for the site!! :wiggle: as far as the 18g and cobb, yeah im trying to ditch the cobb just because i want to do more motor upgrades, it works great for what its for but i want to go further, so it will be for sale asap, not sure as far as ecutek or utec or saying fooook it and do aem ems :naughty:
Welcome, welcome! Nice to see this thread being active. I'm loving the sti headlamps, they really offset the car. You happen to be a photographer as well?
nope not a photographer, just have my good ole 3.2mgp digital camera http://photobucket.com/albums/y238/redefinedWRX/Wrx/ there are a few more shots i have of my car, those pics suck though it was dark, i was tired haha in fact i would actually like to get a few cars together somewhere with a good place for some pics, i dont have any COOL pics of my car yet
Almost every thursday we meet up at Northpoint mall in the parking lot between Babies R Us and TGI Fridays/Fuddruckers. We usually show up around 8:30, seeing as you're in Alpharetta shouldn't be too far for you. Craig
actually SUBY1128 im right off exit 11, so its really close to me hit me up on aim if you get a chance...
YOU!!!! I was the silver bugeye wrx with an STi wing next to you on 120 about a week or so ago. I had been asking around to see if anyone knew you...trying to find out about your brake kit. Your car looks sweet in person!!!!! You in the area that I saw you at much? -Brett
hmmmmm i was everywhere last week from alpharetta to gwenette place mall so ummm.... lol but i live right off exit 11 on 400 so i can be anwywhere on 120 prety quick, hit me up on aim if you ever wanna chill negative :moon:
Hey, it was on 120 where it is Roswell Rd, then Atlanta St, then Alpharetta Highway. It might have been a little more than a week ago, I'm not totally sure. BTW...how is that Stoptech brake kit...it looks awesome
the kit is awsome, has ss brake lines front and rear so its a prety beafy kit. I look forward to seeing how she does up in the mountians <evil laugh>
welcome to the boards man. i contemplated back and forth forever on buying that car from david, it has been well taken care of by both of the other owners. sweet car man, i am glad it found a good home and that it made it to the fourm. look forward to meeting you at future meets. drew
well if you upgrade your turbo this summer, I might possibly be interested in your accessport or your ported and polished turbo (not enough money for both lol). Craig
you want the accessecu, hook me up with some dough and a stock 02 ecu and ill do it asap, ill need ecutek since i have big plans, the cobb stage 2 has been great i just want to go further
ohh my fault, I was thinking the accessport. I'll need to look into the Accessecu as I haven't heard much about it. Craig
basicly the deal with the accessecu, is that you tell them what map you want and they flash it in, with the accessport, you just buy the port, and you can dl and flash them in yourself, that wasnt out yet when this was put in my car, so the ecu has Cobb Stage 2 on it
well i believe stage 2 is exactly what I would run anyways, and I don't plan on doing much more to the car. Craig
craig you need to get this man, it is a sick set up, i looked at buying this car long time ago and the ecu is insano drew
