Wheel Locks

Discussion in 'Modifications & DIY how-to' started by wileycoyote0022, May 4, 2013.

  1. I acquired my dads 08 Scion Xb after he passed away last year. I haven't had to take the tires off until now, replacing brakes. To my knowledge they came stock. They look like a spline socket could go over it, I'll post a picture tomorrow if it will help. Does anyone possible have a key I could borrow ?

I wouldn't think it would be that easy. The locks come with an key (adaptor), which I'm guessing you don't have. Might have to have a shop cut them off (or you, if you are savvy and have tools).

if you really must, you can hammer a 12point socket over it and get it off that way. Also this will usually destroy the socket

  4. good news wife found the key, she had it tucked away in the cubby, which I looked in there, but guess I didn't look hard enough .
