Im looking into getting new springs... the ones im considering are: *Eibach Pros *Prodrive Lowering *Progress Sport *Tein Htech *Tein Stech I want the car to be low, but I plan on getting a front lip soon and dont want to worry about cracking it all the time. I also want it to be stiffer. The ride can be bumpy to a point, I dont mind that much bumpyness... Im also going to buy a rear sway either whiteline or perrin with links at the same time. Which spring would fit best for my preferences???
depends on what you want...performance, just looks, alittle of both? looks- s-tech but they suck for performance/handling performance- prodrive, whiteline flatouts
I've read good things about the Prodrives elsewhere too. I think I'd trust them over the Eibachs but it's possible that the Teins are the best overall. So I vote for the Prodrives.
I have Prodrive on my WRX. It's stiff enough to push your car on your weekends or when you are running late. Yet it's soft enough to take your ladies to diner or your grand parents. lol~ BUT prodrive is not for LOOK. Drop is... pretty small. Oh yeah, another good performance springs are USDM Pinks. Even drop front and rear PLUS designed for stock struts.
i have the eibachs and put them on a few weeks back. They sit at a good stance, however if your looking for performance i dont think they will be as good of a decision. Prodrive will give you all of that. I am very satisfied however.
I loved my whitelines, they were excellent! They gave the car a nice drop and the handling changes were incredible!
I really like my Eibach Pro's. I helped AWD_Tiger install a set of Tokico D-specs with a set of prodrives. When we put the new strut on the car and dropped it back down, the coils on the prodrives were all touching except for one small space in the middle. It seems like the springs may bottom out often, but the Eibach's I have with the KYB AGX work great. Lots of spring travel still available. I think the prodrives are strictly for a higher ride height, i.e. rally or at least in the application I saw with the D-specs. I wish the Eibach's would have dropped the front a little more, because there is definitely a little more space in the front fender well over the rear.
I've got the prodrives, and I like them. I wish the drop was a bit more, but it is well suited for driving around atlanta, especially since we seem to have so much crap and roadkill in the roadways. They are designed to be used with the stock struts, but the stock struts are underdampened for the springs, which makes it a little bouncy at times. I think prodrives with kyb agxs would be an awesome setup!
I got to drive AWD_Tigers Prodrive/Tokico D-Spec combo last weekend and it handled really well. I liked the Prodrives before he put on the struts but I want something a little stiffer like the 05 STi Prodrive springs or the Espelir Active GTs.
The active GTs are very nice. Hopefully my front settles a little bit more. Gladi went that route. So bobby when you gettin the GTs
I love my teins!!!! but I'm not as performance demanding i guess as some people... I thought my drive in the mtns this weekend was WAY more enjoyable with the new springs plus they look sweet and are less bumpy then my last lowered car......thanks Alex  ...j/k
Can anyone answer my question about the 04 STi springs?. Should I put these on or not?. Thanks.....Mark
From what I have read on other boards, the whitline flatouts just slam it and dont do much for handling, while the whiteline control's will handle better and have a drop similar to the prodrives.
Alright, So i think its either going to be prodrive or whitelines. But would it be worth it just to wait and get coilovers? or springs now?
Yeh, I dont know what to tell ya. I don't have any first hand experience with the whitelines. Maybe because you have a sti and the research I did was for a wrx. I tend to take the autox/track gurus word for it on nasioc. Considering what may feel good and what may actually be good can be two different things. Not doubting you at all, just throwing in some 2 cents where i can.
i didnt notice it, but has anyone mentioned or tried Crucial Racings springs yet? i hear they are similar to Prodrive, but im not sure.
Mark, Looks like this thread should answer your question: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=957769&highlight=springs
Hey, catch31. What model year is your WRX? I have some 02-03 Prodrive springs that are just sitting around in my apartment right now. I might could cut you a deal on them if they fit your car.
