Should I go with the S203 Style wing? Or should I go with the S202 style wing? OR... Keep the STi wing?
you know i posted in the other thread that it would look good but now im leaning toward you stocker... but i do like the s20...3
I'm just really tired of the stock STi wing... Too big, vibrates at high speeds (80+), looks riced out... I was thinking that the carbon S202(3) wing with the carbon roof vane spoiler, and a v-limited lip would look good. Plus, all three actually add to downforce and not just looks
just get you a lip spoiler.... do they have that for sti's? they do for evos which looks pretty hot and gives you some advantage of having a wing.
:rofl: Have you ever seen the stablelize that mounts in the middle of our fins...I saw a perrin one on an 04 STi and was thinking about looking for one...it stops the vibe and i think it looks sharp
well I like to stay with the stock wing, but in the end is all up to you, what you like the best and makes you happy
I don't think getting a carbon fiber wing is going to help your case with the rice-osity (if anything, I think the average person would consider your car even ricier). Not saying I don't like them...just saying.
My current favorite is the Syms wing. Though it's not among your list of options, I thought I'd throw it out there Isn't slowwrx selling his?
I agree with milo and was waiting for someone to bring it up. The syms wing is my favorite if you wanna keep a close to stock look, but improve it some. The s202 wing is my next choice and it's not ricec. Choosing an s202 wing only matters to people that know what they're talking about. It's still subaru (style) and it still looks awesome and performs. People that are less informed think the stock STi wing is aftermarket and ricey. And though there's nothing wrong with it...it's far to common. I mean there's a ton of white sti's running around, look at 1naplay. I think greg want's something a little more unique than the rest of the STi's. (And also something he can reach the top of when he's washing the car jk) Set it apart from the rest. Even the STI Limited spoiler is nice, just a simple lip.
has that come out...the mines??? That would be nice. As much as I like wingless, sometimes you need the downforce. Even with a stock wrx wing. If he went wingless wouldn't he need to remove the rear windshield spoiler as to not create lift. That thing is just begging to pull the car off the ground with out the STI wing there.
Keegan hit the nail on the head. I want something different, but it MUST be functional as far as downforce goes
speaking of the mines lip, didn't they stop making that awhile ago? if not please link me to it i've found knock offs on ebay but its not the same
New tires will be here tomorrow. And tune is Friday. Keegan - that is one reason... Thats why the top of my wing is always so dirty...
Matt I think is still selling his Syms wing which is certainly unique to the South (except for Joe) -- and its already white.
