What do you guys think about this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Suba...014QQitemZ330189607450QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V I mean, worst case scenario you're out 30 bucks or so, but has anyone had experience with these kits? I do want to tint my windows, and I know there's a few people on the forum who have DIY tints that look rather good. I would just go out and buy the wal-mart film but I have a feeling that my cutting job would be less than perfect. The extra scratch for professionally cut tint film seems worth it. Any input is appreciated, yo.
I'd throw down the money for a quality job, but that's just me. Window tinting is one of those things that takes time to master.
don't see how it could be precut for a 2002-2008. considering the window shapes changed in '08. that is unless you have to specify when you order it. but yeah, i'd just pay someone to do it.
Yeah it says to specify model year and make of vehicle. Apparently they can do it for almost any vehicle.
My buddy in cali owns a pre-cut tint business. Very cool and saves a lot of time, but you still need to be a good tinter to get all the bubbles and such out. You could probably do the side windows yourself but just get the back pro done.
Pre-cut Tint does the easy part for you. Cutting to the shape of the window is the easiest part of a tint job. The hard part, as said above is applying the tint and getting all the bubbles out. The rear window is the hardest of all, due to the curve of the glass. I have offered before, and will offer again. I have tinted windows in the past. I recently got my car tinted by Tint Genius and was able to watch all the tricks of their trade. I would be more than happy to help you attempt to tint yourself. If it turns out crappy, it cost you about $30 for tint material, and you can then go and get it done professionally.
Right, but back window would be done last, so if I screw up, we should know before we even touch the back window.
Well, yes I do want to tint my tails as well, but this applies to the passenger compartment windows. And please, don't call it a Rex.
