I'm looking at getting the whiteline adjustable Rear Sway Bar in 24 mm. Two questions. Will it cause snap oversteer on an otherwise stock car at the middle setting. Will it cause potential problems with the rest of the suspension at the middle setting?
the issue is more with lift throttle oversteer... with an otherwise stock setup, i doubt u will have much problem... here's a nice writeup by Porter: http://www.wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=191
There will be no snap oversteer with a stock setup. Your struts move too slow too far to get that effect. If you had coilovers, struts, and/or high spring rates things would be different. I would suggest going to the stiffest setting on the swaybar. I have struts and springs and the 24mm Whiteline and have no problems with snap oversteer. While racing, light braking through the apex of corners allows some sliding which is really nice.

caution, if you are going to use your oem rear links then you could possibly have some snap oversteer because they give, give, give and then all the sudden catch at once. you should definitely change your end links with your upgraded strut bar along with the mounts.
Yup, I DON'T plan on doing any crazy driving until I get the endlinks and mounts, but this shouldn't be an issue for daily driving right?
