http://linux.forcedperformance.net/merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=FP&Product_Code=NTWRXFP16G5H&Category_Code=WRX it seems pretty nice, any suggestions on why its so damn cheap?
looks decent... FP turbos are usually cheaper than competing brands but i have heard stories about fitment issues... then again there are a lot of people running FP turbos and have been pretty happy with them i would take that 330whp with a grain of salt... i doubt it could deliver that without meth or race gas
its what they go for, you can check www.boostplanet.com also. better make sure which type inlet you need (straight or 90 degree)
wow, i wasnt expecting a new turbo for under 900 bucks...............! cant find any testimonials though
td05 gives you faster spool in low-mid range but lacks the all out top end hp. Its actually on my "list" of upgrades. I would buy it from deadbolt
ehh, im actually getting a ported vf39 for my needs, im not trying to go all out but i still want 270 whp =)
td05-18g is capable of 340+whp and 340+wtq with meth and supporting mods... i doubt there's much more the ej20 would want to deliver without breaking
You can actually make more than that with an 18g but you have to lean on it pretty hard. I think we made 340hp at 22-23lbs on the 18g and we pushed it all the way to 28lbs, which is pretty far out of its effeciency range. Part of the reason why it is so cheap is the fact that FP is a distributer, and I dont mean little I mean a full on turbo house. There are only a handfull of people in the country that sell as many turbos as they do. In short I would buy that turbo in a second. Matt
i agree... while tuning my super 16g we had a boost leak... when we fixed the leak, it boosted about 24.5 psi and made about 360+ wtq... then scott immediately got off the gas cuz he didnt want to run anymore than 23 psi... i was curious to see how much it wouldve made through that pull but we never ended up pushing it ... we settled with 337hp at 23 psi
