hey guys, i am still having issues with my swaybar (the adjusting holes on the bar sits on the outside of the kartboy endlinks so everytime i take a hard turn, the bolts come loose) so i`m thinking of buying a new bar.. would the Whiteline bar fit on the perrin mounts and the kartboy endlinks?
Put some anti-reverse nuts on em ( I can't remember the name, but the nuts with the polyurethane piece inside to prevent backing out. My rear sway bar sits on the outside too and had a problem until I put those in
I would go with the whiteline spherical bearing endlinks. I have a couple of sets here at the shop. Thats what I just put on my car.
so is it the kartboy endlinks that are causing the problem? i thought maybe it's because the bar i bought was for a 04-06 wrx instead of 03 so the bar was too wide, but you`re saying if i change the endlinks, i wouldnt have any issues even if the bar sits on the outside of the endlinks right?
With the whiteline endlinks we can configure them so that one sits inside and one sits outside. It should eliminate the binding and stop the nuts from backing off. Matt
I recommend getting lock washers (they look like split washers) in addition to regular washers. Then get some thread locker (loc-tite is a common brand) if the washers are not enough. Also, be SURE to torque the bolts to the correct specs, they will make clunking noises if torqued too much. I don't think there is anything wrong with kartboy links, but I'm sure that the whitelines are better.
