SO I just got back from picking my motor up from my uncles shop. I'm going to start putting the car back together this week. Yeah it will only run on C-16 so I probally wont drive it on the street that much. Its going to be fun, I cant wait to take it to Road Atlanta. Matt
Is that the road racing one? Are you still running the solid rear axle? Is that supposed to say 600hp off the bottle?
My good friend had a setup similar to that one but was running it in a 93 notch back. He was making ~900 on a stock 351 block...he was actually trying to push to see what broke first on the block...the result was he split the block right down the journals on top. Then he went to a better block, lol. But he ran 9's before blowing it!
Yeah thats why I went ahead and did the aftermarket block. To answer GTscoobs question it should make between 600 and 700hp off the bottle, and somewhere in the 1000 range on the bottle. Its got a pretty nasty Bennet Nitrous cam in it. We will see Matt
Awesome, can't wait to see it (and hear it) at RA. I know you said it would be later in the year when you took it out. Any chance of seeing it at the Panoz track day in March? Just got the R detailed, so it's ready to sell. Now I need to get it up on eBay and Autotrader. Once it's sold, hopefully I can get to work on the Cobra.
You must be running out of space over there... If you need to park one of these crazy cars in my driveway to free up some space let me know. I'll need the keys in case I need to move something around...
Ill take some pics this afternoon, the car looks like crap right now, I have to go finish cleaning the engine bay and putting the heat shield on the firewall, then they can get started throwing things together. Matt
