http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=26376685#post26376685 Sound like it's gonna be a wicked stock location turbo. Hmmmm this has billet wheels too....this has me itching to see what Matt's new test subjects are gonna do.
Looks pretty cool. Comparing it to a 20g when it is running meth seems a little confusing. I wonder if the 20g had meth?
if it looks like a chick and quacks like a chick...it's not a fucking duck. i'll wait for the final numbers, but for the dollars paid, wtf...not worth it. go rotated and be done. He's running meth w/ a fmic on a 20g...for that much money, do it right. Must be nice to be a vendor named cobb...
Dude that turbo costs $900. Rotated isn't for everyone. Some people already bought the downpipes and uppipes and want to stay stock location. So far this has been a surprising turbo.....it's tiny.
The only thing that kind of throws stuff off is the fact that he is still running the meth but claims nothing is tuned for it...yet he is running higher AFR's and is still receiving the benefits of the meth's cooling ability. I say turn off the meth and see what it does then. It may be a decent little turbo, but I do not think it is a fair impartial comparison.
I would just hate to see people throw that turbo on the average car with no meth or anything and expect to see those numbers....it's probably not going to happen. Also without the meth spool might be a bit different...there are just all kinds of variables.
it is an 18g, nobody is expecting it spool like a 18g and have 20g like power output, however i will hold my judgement until a non-methanol dyno is posted
