I hate to post such sobering news, but one of our fellow wrxatl members and friends was paralyzed in a jeep accident just recently. I don't remember his name on the boards, but his real name is Steven. He has a GORGEOUS '04 2.5 TS Wagon. Forest Green, Factory optional BBS mesh wheels and EVERY suspension mod made for the car. It's got near 35k miles. I don't remember right now if it's coilovers and shocks, but it'l lowered, all bushings, sways, alignment etc. His wife will be e-mailing me all the specs and some pics and I'll post them here. Right now they are planning on selling it, we are considering trying to put an auto and hand-controls in it, but are unsure of the cost. One of the main requests right now is for some help getting it to the GT Auto Show tomorrow. The car is located in Suwanee, and I'd like to bring it down to the show tomorrow. If you are interested in buying it, or helping me get it to the show, please call me. Thanks, SS
Oh, what a tragedy! My condolences to Steven and his wife. I would love to help, I just need to get my car to the show as well. If we can get it there early enough and I can catch a ride up to Suwanee, I can help. Ill call you today to see if we can work something out. Once again, my heart goes out to Steven and his family
i'd be all over this dude, but i've got my hands a bit full. i hope the best possible outcome for him and his family. hopefully the hand-control option isn't too pricey.
my prayers go out to him and his family as well. i could take it to the show, i want to go anyways and i'm on that side of ATL.
I'm sorry but I'll be at work from 9 to 1230 otherwise I'd be sure to do it. I think me driving someone else's scooby to the GT Auto Show is a tradition.
my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family, i dont think i will be able to help bring the car down though.
That's really sad. I'll be sure to keep him and his friends in my thoughts and prayers. I think I may have met him up at SOG last year, I remember meeting a guy with a TS wagon that he said had a lot of suspension mods. I've still got some 4EAT parts around if he's serious about it, he can have it he's serious about the swap.
I hope everything gets worked out...sorry to hear the bad news...wish I didn't have to work or I'd help out...I'm sure someone will volunteer to drive it to the show.....
subaru offers assistance on hand controls for new cars my prayers are with him. guys and girls, it could be any one of us!
my thoughts are with steven and his wife. and if you see it's possible to convert his car, i can donate some cash to help a fellow enthusiast in need, especially on wrxatl i love this community and all the people on this board, all you guys are fantastic people, it wouldn't be much but if you can convert the car i got 5 on it (500) oh could somebody move this to latest spin or it's appropriate place
Well all the best for as good a recovery as possible! I am sure the community will pitch in as best as we can!
