It's a blast! It's soooo different then the WRX. I miss the hammer on torque the 2.0L made at 2800k. The V8's torque curve is a gradual build, so it doesn't have the sensation my WRX had. But, with that being said, the rate it gathers speed is totally ridiculous. Winding a motor out to 8500 is still scary, the engine comes alive at 6k and becomes blistering fast.

2 things, the pedals in the WRX were prefect for heel-toe, the BMWs are all at different heights. Not a fan of that yet. Second, the WRX's 5-speed was so much smoother then the M's The M's is notchy and a bit vague. I miss my trany for sure. Bet no one thought they'd hear that about a Subi trans.

Does 3 wheeling at the track count as cool?

    Anytime a Subaru's on a rack, it's cool :)
Especially if you're peeing on Porsche.

You have to man... It is absolutely incredible. I didn't think anything in the US would beat Glacier National Park in Montana, but now I can't decide which I like better.

    It was an amazing experience.

Here some scale of that wall.

Not quite sure this qualifies for this thread, but I'm hoping some of the real photogs here can give me some advice and instruction on night photography. First try:

I'm not an expert by any means, but one rule of thumb (which you probably already know) is have a tripod! There are so many cool effects and ways to capture the perfect lighting when you increase your shutter speed to several seconds or more.

One technique I like to use is "light painting." I will take several different types of lights (halogen, LED, etc..) and see what light source I like in a certain frame. I will typically try to set my shutter for 10 seconds or more and will literally 'paint with the light source with places I want to have less light and more light.

I don't have any examples of this on my work computer but I do have this on my instagram... I just walked across the frame with and iphone with a 20 second shutter speed.

A buddy of mine made this for me for my bday, and since it's opening night...I thought it might count as a "cool pic":
