The interior is better and alot of the little bugs that are in the 05~06 are pretty well sorted for 07+. But hey, if its a good price its a good...
The Spec B 6MT has longer gears vs the 04, 05, 06 and taller 5-6 than the 07, 08. So, longer gears that are tougher FTW.
Meh...I'd SERIOUSLY get the 07 or 08 Spec B. Its WAY more worth it to have the 6MT. Plus some other things are vastly improved over the 06.
You are going to need something more than just a simple code reader to get the trans code out. The ones that talk to the trans are like $50~$80...

If you change it with the distributor, its base timing. Yes its alot, but it will reduce NOx. EGR affects NOx under certain load conditions.
I had issues way back when similar to that, but with a subaru. What fixed it for me was tuning the timing DOWN about 10 deg. Passed instantly....
