this sounds like fun, i can probably make it out there to learn a few things. already installed my tanabe gf210's and top mounts but i might need help wiring in some hella horns behind my grill. Would anybody have any experience installin these by any chance??
yep and three extension cords if i can make this i can also bring a jack and some stands... i don't think i'll have anything to install, but we'll see.
shouldn't be a problem installing the horns. More than a few of us have them. Real easy to do as a matter of fact.
ha ha ha ha ha okie.. well u guys choose what kind? plz hnoes: i always choose the bad ones.. :hsnono:
I'll do something a little lighter than guiness since we'll be working. Just shy from domestics (at least for some of us), however if necessary, I prefer icehouse. Benefit of domestic of course it the cost / quantity.
mmmm beer  , I'll bring some Heineken, Tools, maybe some burgers. Are we gonna need anything else?
Beer requires a pub and good friends. Beer/Water requires power tools, cars, friends and installs Beer (my first choice) -- Guiness, New Castle, Harp, Boddingtons, etc. Beer/Water (hardly my choice) -- MGD, Bud Light, Icehouse, etc.
SWEETWATER 420!!!! Is there any other beer in the ATL? Support you local brewers, they need all the help they can get.
Anyone here a great electrition... i thinki am going to be putting in my amp and some components at the install day... i am pretty goood with it as this will be the third car i have put this exact system in but may need some help to make the job go a bit more quickly
I'll be there now that I have time to do stuff again. Just let me know what you need me to bring. Nothing install, but I'll help anyone who needs it. I'll bring my tools and PB blaster. Maybe i'll even get my wrench that alex broke fixed before then :wiggle:
I picked up a 650 ft/lb impact wrench today, and can bring it if anyone needs to swap springs. It should speed up the process. I have a portable 11gallon air tank also, which should be enough to break bolts, and use a normal drill for the rest of the process. Let me know, and I can bring it. Probably can do a spring install quite quickly with it. -- Brian
I'm attempting a spring install and would love any help i could receive!!! Also if anyone is interested i just got the 02-03 wrx service manual on CD (pdf format) I know that someone posted a link to it online but if someone wanted to burn a copy for themselves at install day I could bring it.
I want to replace all the stock door speakers with bigger ones (6in. front, 5in. back). The previous owner blew them out. Do you guys think spacers are absolutely necesary?
Yes, its quite possible. Most common replacements include 6.5" component systems for the front speakers.
hmm i will most definatly be there i dont know what i will have to install but i at least want to get my headlights cleared
first post edited with directions... IMPORTANT: please do not drive aggressively in or around my parking deck or my neighborhood... also dont be too loud (revving ur engines, playing loud music, trying to set off car alarms, etc.)... so far we have had no problems... however, even a single complaint from any of the residents will cause the install day to end instantaneously... the authorities have allowed me to host these events here as long as nobody complains
yes, follow the directions check out the googlism for milo: http://www.googlism.com/index.htm?ism=milo&type=1 lots of strange information.... -- Brian
since i got no tools, and hardly any install experience, AND im bringing springs, Ill be bringing a case of sweetwater? would that be good? I got da PH(x) too.. i need to make up for lack of worth.. i can tag someones car.
my plan at the moment: install turbo timer, and gut uppipe. possible plans: headers or TBE but extremely doubt either of these.
gutting up-pipe, what does that "require". meaning, if it's done, do you have check engine light issues or any other issues? i guess what i'm asking, is it REALLY a free mod? and if so, is that something i can get in on maybe? :naughty: i might install the stereo and call it a day, we'll see.
10,12 mm sockets and wrenches to remove ic and the washer bottle. Screw drivers depending on what hose clamps you use for your ic. Some thread locker (locktite) for the nozzle. Drill and bit of appropriate size for drilling ic (can't remember the size but if you need me to bring it let me know what it is when you get the kit). A small vacuum line T to get the boost signal to the SMC unit. Very easy install unless you get real creative where you put the controller.
i tried home depot for a T and vacuum lines... they told me to go to autozone... and then autozone told me to go to home depot so that brings me to another question... where could i get vacuum lines in addition to a T?
I got vacuum lines for my crx from Pep Boys. I didn't look for Ts there though. They had to go behind the counter and cut it from a bulk roll of it. -- Brian
