everyone usually gets together and helps each other out with their cars. People will be more than willing to give you a hand with things. Usually when a install day is setup folks usually post up on here what they are looking to install. Basically, show up, meet people, learn about your car, and enjoy..
Strayen if you still want to bring queso go ahead. We'll have grills that we can keep the queso warm with. Just put it in a pot that can go on a stovetop or a grill. Weather.com says partly cloudly for saturday.....
I'd liked to come hang out. Anyone with a scan tool? My car is way down on power and it sucks really bad. Hopefully pulling some codes will help find the culprit.
I have one....but I'm not going....if your in my neck of the woods and want to meet up and borrow it then cool....:wavey:
Don't be sad, you don't have to drive this heap of slow around. I took the top mount off looking for leaks but didn't find any. Remind me never to take that thing off again unless it's got some silicon hoses on it, what a pain in the ass to put back on. I'm changing my oil tomorrow, I'll look around the up-pipe for leaks. My apartment complex thinks it's necessary to make speed bumps the size of small mountains. There is one really bad one when I leave and it hits something under my car sometimes, I'm wondering if it bent the exhaust.
Thanks Scott! I'm really tempted to buy a AP v2 after seeing a video of one. It's a really bad ass tool to have. Hopefully someone shows up Saturday with one if not I might hit you up on your offer.
i have one, i will make sure to throw it in the truck with me. i also have a set of rhino ramps if someone wants them(for free) i will be bringing along
Awesome, I'll be hitting up sam's club tomorrow morning before I arrive. I'm trying to figure out a way to get warm drinks out there for everyone. Cheers,
Gonna bring some soda and coolers with ice and maybe chips too...also need to get some gaskets from SOG in the morning.
Ah come on man, it should just slide right in there!! Should take about 30 minutes right? Hehe. I was just playing around. I have heard it is about 20 hours of labor give or take. Plus I plan on doing some port work to the heads while they are off as well as the intake, tumblers, and exhaust. It is probably going to take a good week or so.
Well I'm a little bummed. I ordered the stuff from sakari through Mike but they were shipped out Thursday and I doubt they'll be here tomorrow on a weekend. So non of my parts are here to install. Seriously sucks.
Shane, have a safe trip and a Happy New Years bro...I am going to Orlando tomorrow after a couple of hours at the Install Day...I will talk to ya later man... Mark
i might not be able to make it tomorrow. my cousin doesnt have her car so i might have to drive her around. if i do make it out it'll probably be like around 4-5
Yeah sorry guys, it's looking less and less likely that I'll be able to come. I should be in Atlanta tomorrow though, so I'll still try to stop by, even if it's only for a short time.
Slight chance of rain, most likely in the early evening. I'm still planning on it. Just getting some coffee in my system.
Im there, I just hopped out of the shower and poured myself a cup of coffee. I am going to show up there first, then put together what we want from Sam's afterward.
There is no rain predicted for this morning, or this afternoon. Just this evening. Its in the 50s, so wear something warm
I just wanted to say thanks to all of the folks who helped me with my roof rails un-install...I really appreciate it....The wagon looks uber JDM now...LOL... Mark
Well the DP was finally installed around 8:00pm. Mike had to cut the bolt clean to get it out. PITA! After that, things went in and bolted on within 30mins. I owe Mike big time! (Also Mike, the screws for the hoses were tight) I can hear a slight more whine noise coming from the engine now and also more of the turbo. Was new to me so I had to check it out with Mike. If someone wants to take a ride and also give me their input, much appreciated. Hope the queso was good. Did someone see and get the top to my queso pot? I'd like to get that back. Thanks!
had plans to stop by but the weather was pretty bad on this side of town. dont know how bad it was there but i figured since i didnt reely have anything to install id just stay back.:wtc:
