Maybe so, but I've done about 60+ motor jobs where the failed cometics were the who reason behind the engine needing to come out and either have the gaskets swapped...or worse.

I will say this: The only failure of an OE SUBARU gasket I saw was from when the wonderful people at Crawford didnt properly TQ the head down. So it IS entirely possible that those 60+ engine jobs I did were not assembled correctly...

However, I have asked around OUTSIDE of the SUBARU community...and I do agree that cometics seem to have a great rep on other cars.

But you have to remember....a SHIT TON of parts work on everything else....EXCEPT for a SUBARU.

Hydra all the way! I've talked to Phil Grabow about the Hydra and what it has to offer and he's convinced me to go that route. I like the interface and how it works. It works with climate changes and such much better than the AEM from what I understand and it controls AVCS! That's a huge plus.

Mods can this thread get moved to Power and Performance? It got way off topic of Drivetrain and it's all my fault ;)
