Not all the kits are going to be recirc but the first ones are, Its still just creating a problem area that I don't want to deal with.
Understood. How is the bending breaking the clamps? Is it because it's an extreme bend on a HUGE pipe?
I was wondering the same thing...that seems like schiesty tooling if it's popping after one unit. I get the large bend right at the bellmouth, but I would think they'd design a tool / clamp around those forces.
I would think so as well but I'm not a tool maker. I guess its hard to bend stainless around a radius that tight without it kinking or something.
I think that as long as your TIG welder knows what he is doing, that you could produce a problem free pieced bend at the top of the DP and use mandrel bends on the lower portion. I don't think that I have ever read of a TIG weld failing on a DP. I surely don't feel like the UR DP will ever fail on my 05 STI...
