New question. What is the normal maintenance period for the timing belts on our cars? I couldn't find anything in the shop manual about it. I ask because I'm pretty sure theres about 80k miles on the current one and if I'm gonna be breaking it down that far should I just go ahead and replace while in there?

    105k.

Under harsh driving conditions for DOHC cars, its unofficially recommended at 60k.

1 tooth off *MAY* cause what you are having, but its normally more consistent.

I'd do the timing belt around 90k on yours.

Wouldn't just want to go ahead and do it now while in there?
