Ecutek all the way because it utilizes all of your factory safety perameters. I have never been a fan of a flash loader. I know cobb is a good company, ecutek has just proved time and time again to be safe and most of the biggest tuners in the world run ecutek or something crazy like hydra. Just my .02

actually now that protuner has been released, i believe AP can do everything that ECUTEK can do... along with providing a lot more maps

I'm liking the cobb ap more now that I know I can back up a protune.

How new is the protune option?

I would really like to see EcuFlash and EcuExplorer evolve though.

Ecutek has released the map switching for 04+ WRX's I believe. My source at Ecutek told me that PDXTuning has the first software this past week. Willing to bet that SS won't be too far behind on that. That'll rock when I get me a 2.5L so that I can have a meth map and no meth map ;)

To me i prefer cobb for OTS maps for low or no mods and becasue Cobb have protune now it can be tuned specifically for high mods.

If you have high mods i think both is equal
    Then
It greatly depends on your tuner

Im not a Tuner. but i think botht the EM has similar parameters that can be tuned to match your mod. But I like the multimaps of the COBB that you can easily switch to in seconds
