The Import Showdown Track Day and Time Attack presented by Siegel Racing Driver Education Clinics returns to Talladega Gran Prix Saturday Nov 15th, 2008. This all day event combines open track time, driver education, and for advanced drivers, a time attack for the fastest lap for trophies and prizes. Building on a very successful format used at previous Import Showdown Track Days, we offer 90 minutes of on track time per driver slot, professional instruction by Siegel Racing for beginners, and a time attack at the end of the day. Talladega Gran Prix is a technically challenging 1.4 mile course. This event will appeal to beginners and experienced drivers alike! As with all Import Showdown events, this event is put on as a not for profit event by volunteers of GA DSM and the Import Showdown organization. All proceeds from the event are turned back into Import Showdown events. Also with all Import Showdown events, we welcome any make, model, year, or nameplate vehicle, Import or Domestic. Spectators are also welcome and encouraged!!

Siegel Racing is returning to provide classroom style and on track instructor for beginners as well as those who simply want to improve their lap times. Siegel Racing has been providing professional instruction at road courses throughout the southeast, including Talladega Gran Prix! This instruction is included with each driver slot at no additional charge.

For experienced and safe drivers we will have a time attack at the end. Drivers will have the opportunity to run laps unimpeded (no passing concerns) to achieve their fastest possible time. Winners will receive trophies and prizes provided by our sponsors. There is no additional charge for competing in the time trials, however, spaces are limited and are limited to experienced drivers who prove controlled and safe operation.

For all drivers the event will include 90 minutes of actual on track time. Drivers will be broken out into Beginner groups, Intermediate, and Advanced, to ensure similar experience levels on are the track together. The event will offer a series of safety controls and limitations to ensure a fun, but safe day for all drivers. Driver registrations will include a provided lunch as well as a gate entry for a driver and guest.

Driver registration is advanced is required and a limited number of slots for this event are available. If you would like to take part in this truly unique combination of open time runs, education, and competitions, register today to guarantee your spot. Once we have reached the maximum number of slots, registration will be closed! Registration is open NOW!

For more information, rules, regulations, conditions, and to register, visit the Import Showdown Official Website at www.importshowdown.com. Looks like I'm going to have my car back in time. I'll sign up when I find out for sure. Will I be ok with my street tires on the track? This will be my first track event
