I only saw a couple of people. Too cold? It was cold, but a great event. My first at Turner Lot and it was fast hnoes: .
Hi, It was a great event - I enjoyed it so much I did it twice! I learned a lot about the way my new car handles and what are its limits (and how late the GT36R kicks in...) It was great seeing you guys, Hope we meet again soon. thanks Tal BTW - managed to do 55 sec. - I need much more practice to run the car smoothly.
Hey just wanted to say me and my bro had a great time at the autox yesterday. And big thanks to Milo and Alex for the ride alongs and all the info! We really learned a lot and really appreciate it. Hope to see yall out there next season, cant wait! hnoes:
I was only there Sunday, thats probably why you didn't see me. What a great lot. I can't wait to run it again in the summer time when its extra sticky.
i liked it slippery, i was sliding all over the place but only when i wanted to... i never felt this much in control of my car at any autoX event before
yeah, i second that milo. my car never turned in so fast. my rear was rotating like a champ. (insert joke here) i wish i could have hung out more, but i just had too many things going on. i really didn't ever say hello to you, milo/alex. my bad! i ran a 57.9 my first lap and got slower each time. i did this the last race, too. i don't know how i can get slower each lap, but oh well. the SWEET V8 MG got me 2 re-runs, though. that was a nice surprise. does anyone know if the photographer up at the drifting even is ok? i heard it was pretty bad. i really hope he's ok. it wasn't anyone on here was it?
Its not like milo and I cried on each others shoulders all day after you shrugged us off like we were just pieces of meat :wtc:
I may check into the Auto-X scene in SC...I heard that it is pretty big out there also...I just need to do this.... Mark
Here are some pics - who is WRXatlanta #12? http://soloatlanta.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2246&hl=
Its a pretty big region. Normally about 80-120 drivers depending on the venue. Its not nearly as organized or competitive as AR, but its fun and good practice. They give out trophies at every event, so you can feel special. There are a bunch of us in Clemson that race there. You should also look at CCR, since they do races at Knights Stadium right near "rockthrill". SCR has a non-points event race Dec. 2nd for charity in Orangeburg.
Hi, here are some pics from the event http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v700/elp999/autocrossNov06/?start=all enjoy! Tal
