Greetings fellow ATLiens. After 8 years I am back in a Subaru Hello all. My name is James and back in the day 05-09 I had a rather nice 04 WRX with tons of mods. I did a couple of events with WRXATL and had a profile here but I have no idea what it would have been. Anywho, I sold my love to fund a life with my lovely wife. Now, that we have established ourselves and achieved some goals I am back in a Subaru. I picked up the black Forester XT 5 speed you all saw on CL the other week with less than 75K. I plan on some tasteful mods. I want to free up the exhaust and get a tune first and foremost. Other than that I want to use my Fozzy for trips to the mtns with the wifey and our two boxers. (maybe I should have chosen 3Turboboxers as my name, lol). I know ~The Duke~ very well and maybe some of you other guys from the past. Hope to see everyone soon at an event. I will be pilfering your garage sale posts, so thanks for those Here are some pics. this.. in all reality, the drop in filter isn't going to affect the performance of the vehicle at all.
If nothing else I would at least wash the oil off as it is extremely easy for it to coat the maf sensor and cause your car to run like crap.

I've seen some hate on the base but I will admit I am cheap, I got this brand new for barely over 25K - which I always thought a WRX was a $30K+ car until car shopping last year and found this - one of the remaining 'cheap' WRXs in the Atlanta area last spring as this model was being phased out for the new 2015s. I actually like the no wing..I always liked the no wing on the 2002-2007 also. How modded is your ride? Stock with some add-ons like amp/sub, tints, lip Where do you usually buy parts? Not really my style/preference but probably going to be mostly show but moderate, as I still hesitate to mess with the mechanicals but am considering some suspension work and/or something like a sway bar. I've added a front lip/splitter and gray inlays over the reverse lights. Installed a subwoofer and amp in the trunk. Will post some pictures sometime - we pretty much know what they all look like but maybe mine is different because is a 'base' WRX with no wing and 'grayed out' look (tints aren't that dark) with lip. ^ just to add that while I like my 'no wing' sedan WRX I pretty much love all WRXs and STIs no matter the year or trim. I first fell in love with the 2004 'blob-eye' but I love the 'bug-eye' versions now also. When I first saw the wide body GR-style STI in 2008 or 09, my mind was blown. I personally may prefer the look of the hatch and I actually like the altezza style lights (yes, I like the no-wing sedan and taillights on the hatch !) and am jealous when I see one but in my cheapness I couldn't find a really cheap one in that time (@ March 2014) in Atlanta area dealerships, I think there were just premiums or limited available.

Hi folks! I currently live in Alpharetta. My friends call me Matt. I am driving a platinum silver metallic 2003 WRX wagon. 5MT of course. Currently the only modifications to the car are an all aluminum radiator, Cobb short shifter and shift knob, and a roof mounted bike rack. I usually buy parts online. During high school I frequented Import Atlanta when Hondas were my flavor of choice. I wave to any Subaru with a hood scoop and will gladly reciprocate if a wave is initiated from a non boosted model. I found out about WRXATL by coming across a thread about wheels during a Google search. Oh and I forgot to mention that my modification philosophy is always function over form. So "go" takes precedent over "show". I haven't ever really been in the car "scene", so I'm very much looking forward to corresponding with all of you and participating in some group drives, meets, etc!

I would love to try to make it to some of the dinner meets. However it will be hard my job is long hours and very rarely am I off in time to go to a 6:30 during the week. maybe when this show finishes if I don't have another right away I will try to make it to one.
We also have a monthly meet every Third Saturday of the month and we also have a nice get together every first Sunday of the month at Caffeine & Octane. Make sure you join our FB page and keep an eye out for spontaneous get togethers! Plus it's race season and there are lots of events just about every weekend that a handful of us go to and participate in.
This. There is a random dinner get together at least every other Friday as well. We've just had the Tuesday dinner meets scheduled for years now so they're the easiest ones for us to point to when people ask about get togethers.
Hi I'm Clyde new to the forum I'm Clyde like I mentioned very excited to be a part of this I have a 2016 WR blue Wrx I live in the cumming area I'm about to install my mishimoto CAI and hopefully in a week or two bug a Cobb access port As far as future mods I want to Do a turbo back exhaust and tgv delete and some upgraded sway bars and add Some strut tower braces. I hope to get more involved with the Subaru community and I will try to keep up with where meet ups are and things like that
