Not bad for a CONSERVATIVE street tune on 93 only.

i'm plenty happy with it... it should have made more on SOG's dyno since everyones numbers were lower than expected

I wasn't putting your car down in any way at all....hope you didn't get that impression. Just SS told me the car has PLENTY left in it but that it was kept safe.

oh heck no, WRB FTW!! You knights are are going down

oh looking good Milo, but you have to let that 65lb/min shine, so I say throw some methanol on there and turn up the boost :naughty:

  14. miloman

    miloman Retired Admin

i agree... on 93 octane its runing at the very bottom of its efficiency chart... scott has been pushing me to get methanol and bob (master tech at SOG) has been pushing for race gas

i think i'll go high octane sometime in the fall... right now i need to start saving money for a clutch which i'm sure will fry once i make more power... besides, the power is plenty for me right now... i rarely even floor the gas anymore unless im pointed perfectly straight :D

damn, the AVC-R is awesome... my car just made 1.4 bar (~20.87 psi) in first gear !!!!!!!

also, i have been driving with a heavy foot all week... obviously since i just got all this power... filled up gas today and got just over 11 miles to the gallon :D

Haha I'm scared if I went with AVC-R my tranny would explode! Well it's held to the 19 psi I hit at the tracks....:keke:

  20. blindfold

    blindfold Active Member

on a side note, AVC-R measures kg/cm^2 not bar,
    1.4 bar = 20.305psi
    1.4 kg/cm^2= 19.912psi

I know it's only .4psi of difference but it would be nice to precise

thanks man... i have been meaning to take some better pics after the FMIC and new grill

Milo mind telling me where you got the grill? Since I went with a RS hood I want to hide my FMIC for stealthyness. Also I've hit like 5 birds in the last month and although the Perrin FMIC is tough and didn't bend any I don't want to take chances. Debris is bad for FMIC mmmmkay.

the grill is made by APC and one piece costs about $35 at a local automotiive store... i don't remember if i bought it at autozone or pepboys... i bought 2 pieces: 1 for the upper part and 1 to cover the IC core... the one covering the IC barely fit since its about 7.5 - 8 inches wide... might wanna check dimensions before you buy it...

i have heard that you can get them much cheaper on ebay with larger dimensions... but i needed mine soon so i had to buy them locally

Cool......Home depot has them as well in big sheets. Thanks. Did you paint your grill? Is it flaking any at all from rock chips?

yes we painted it black... actually we applied primer, then black paint and then clear coat... multiple layers of each... its still chipping so i used a little touch up paint yesterday

we didn't paint it in the best conditions though... it was cold and raining
