Yeah. That's the way to do it. Put your gas pedal past the actual floor from the get go to get someone else's car out.
I drove around alot on Monday. That was alot of fun. I just had to dig out the top of the driveway 'cause I got hung up on the hump/moat combo there. Went Wed too, and worked Thurs/Fri.
this was parkway pointe at cumberland mall yesterday morning: that's pure ice, which is about 2" thick. There was snow that was plowed around, but this is all ice. None of it cracked or broke when I walked on it.
I have to assume that everyone was entering on the lower level of the deck. That is amazing that no one had gotten that cleared. I guess the fact that it is a parking deck made them just wait for this weekend for it to melt.
you could see where someone went in and plowed through, but they didn't do a good job if there was still that much ice in there. There was also a jeep at the end of the deck (very close to me) that looked like it hadn't let that spot since before the snow fell. pretty cool. All the stores were open, and yes, everyone was parking down below in the covered area. I parked down there and walked up the still iced over steps.
If only someone had a zamboni sitting around in their garage...the parking decks at my work looked the same... there were people out there skating around on their shoes... They never try to de-ice them.. always just let them melt. I had to park in the lower 40 at work today.
