  1. Hey guys,

I wanted to do a post about one of our current builds that I figured may be interesting and helpful to the community. This 2011 STI Limited came to us with some catastrophic engine failure (Rod through the top of the block) It was in bone stock form when we got it, but isn't going to stay that way for long.

This car is getting the full treatment! Everything is absolutely top notch with no real expense spared. We have already pulled the motor and sent the heads to be prepped for the cams and valve train...we will start assembling the block next week to get this build underway.

    THE PLAN:

    -TSM RR1 Built Short Block

    *CP Coated Pistons
    *Carrillo Rods
    *Cosworth Bearings
    *Pinned Deck
    *TSM Oil Modifications
    *O-Ring

    -TSM Street Heads
    *GSC S2 Cams
    *GSC Ti Springs
    *TSM Port Job
    *TSM Valve Job

    -ARP Head Studs
    -ARP Case Bolts
    -ARP Main Studs
    -AMS FMIC
    -TSM TGV Deletes
    -Invidia Race Header
    -ID1000 Injectors
    -Aeromotive FPR
    -Aeromotive Fuel Pump

    -TSM/AMS GTX35R Rotated Turbo Kit
    *GTX3582
    *Tial .82 Hotside
    *Tial 44mm MV-R WG
    *Cast UpPipe Construction

    -Borla CBE
    -Exedy Twin Disk Clutch
    -Custom Boost Control
    -Cobb Accessport
    -Crawford AOS
    -Tial BOV
    -KW V3 Coilovers
    -TSM ECU Tune

I will post pictures of the build up as it happens for you guys, the car should be really strong when she is done!

Here are some pictures of the car with the motor out, and just some of the parts that are going in her.

Dang that's easily $20k or more once you add in labor and shop fees.

from the associated mods, my guess is it put down around 450whp on pump, 21-23psi. This is almost the identical setup I ran on my car.

My guess is above 500 on pump actually. The newer cars are making power easier than the older ones. If I make 417 on pump with stock location this one had to make a good deal more.

yeah i'm inclined to think (and hope) for 500+ on 93 since that is my overall goal.
Most of the similar setups around the webz seem to be around that number on 08+ cars

I'd love to see final numbers on this as well. I keep thinking of going rotated, and adding more power. I'm not as excited with my Dom 1.5 as I used to be, haha.

    Must be another Lobelsteve scenario

From what I have read he had the break in tune done. Then a sensor went out that he did get replaced but also at the same added even more mods to it or changed a few mods. After that it's not known from the posts I'm reading....

I don't think it is anywhere near a Lobel scenario.....I think the customer may have just wised up and gave up or just doesn't care to share with the community.

Hey guys, this car did end up getting built and the last time I checked was still being driven around daily up in ND and is doing great!

I don't have all the dyno stuff yet as Doug is on the dyno with a GT-R so I don't dare bug him lol.

I will have some more details for you all once I get them.
